Our College can look back at its beginning - Lees College established in 1886, the vocational school opening its door in 1945, and 1968 when Hazard Community College was founded. We have made a tremendous impact on the lives of thousands of our citizens through community-based education. The historic success these three fine institutions have enjoyed was due in large part to the wisdom of our communities' leaders years ago. We provide opportunities for our citizens and our businesses to obtain quality higher education and training. We have educators that care, educators that know their students and educators that are our good neighbors.

But we need your help. State funding has decreased significantly over the past few years and is simply not adequate for us to take our students and our community to the next level of improving the quality of education and the quality of life. Our communities and our region need our College to succeed. We need your support now to ensure our communities' future for tomorrow.
