Brashear and Hollon serving HCTC campaign

East Kentucky Freedom Press, Hazard

Hazard Community & Technical College honors two bankers who have taken on the chief leadership positions with the college's Fulfilling the Promise campaign. The college just announced a $4 million goal for the campaign and such a major goal was made possible by the leadership of Fred Brashear, president of Hydens Citizens Bank and Leon Hollon, president of Peoples Bank and Trust Company in Hazard. HCTC President Jay K Box said, "We are extremely fortunate to have such education-minded bankers willing to work so hard with our campaign. We have already raised $3 million, thanks to their assistance. We are convinced we will continue to have success in raising the other $1 million." Brashear and Hollon are both long-time members of the Hazard Independent College Foundation, the group dedicated to the betterment of the college. "Their work with the campaign is just one of the many roles they have undertaken for our college," Dr. Box said.
