Dr. I.N. Nayak of Hazard has created a $10,000 scholarship endowment at Hazard Community and Technical College. The Scholarship is for students enrolled in nursing with preference given to those who have worked in the Hazard ARH operating room and/or on the surgical floor at the hospital.
The gift is part of the College's Fulfilling the Promise fund raising campaign and counts toward the $4 million goal.
HCTC President/CEO Jay K. Box said he greatly appreciated Dr. Nayak's commitment to furthering the education in the medical field.
