U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company Donates $6,000 to HCC
Funds Will Provide Scholarships for Agricultural Technology Students
HOPKINSVILLE, KY (March 26, 2004) - U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC) recently
donated $6,000 to Hopkinsville Community College. The funds will provide scholarships for the sons and
daughters of dark-tobacco producers who enroll in HCC's Agricultural Technology Program.
"These scholarships provide the opportunity for men and women to develop and strengthen their
skills as they prepare to be more efficient and productive in facing the challenges ahead," said Danny
Kingins, plant manager of USSTC in Hopkinsville. "USSTC continues to be dedicated to the agricultural
community in both Kentucky and Tennessee."
HCC offers an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Agricultural Technology with an
embedded Agricultural Technician II certificate. For more information about the college's Ag Tech
