It is my privilege to announce the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign -- the first major gifts campaign for Jefferson Community and Technical College.

Over the years the college has served our region through quality educational programs that are highly accessible and affordable; and through the power of higher education we have played an important role in creating a better quality of life in the communities we serve.

At Jefferson we are committed to building a comprehensive community and technical college that is a bridge to academic success for thousands of students each year. We are committed as well to serving as a catalyst for economic opportunity. It is our mission to respond to the needs of employers, closing the gap between the changing demands of the workplace and the preparation and abilities of workers, providing that vital link between the jobs of the new economy and those who need further education and training.

While proud of a history that spans nearly 40 years, our focus is on a future that holds great promise for us all. Today, traditional funding sources are declining, yet our communities have pressing healthcare, workforce and technology needs. As new opportunities arise, we must be prepared to respond.

Throughout this campaign, we will seek to partner with those who share our bold vision and fervent belief in the power of higher education.
