In response to recommendations from our community, business, and industrial leaders, the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign features four initiatives
that require private support. The campaign will build on past fundraising successes, and help to meet mandated needs not adequately addressed by
public funds. Our four campaign initiatives are:
FACILITIES AND GROUNDS
Quality Learning Environments $1,000,000
We will provide facilities that support learning and promote student success. After 35 years of growth, capital improvements are necessary. The
Maysville and Morehead campuses have seen more than 25,000 credit students walk the halls and have hosted many community events. Library
improvements are critical on all of the campuses. Funds from this initiative will provide the necessary capital improvements and campus development
to support student learning, comprehensive student activities, and community access.

SENATOR WALTER BLEVINS, JR, DMD
"We've got to ask everybody to chip in. The government can't do everything. It is better
when the community takes ownership of a facility and that's why we ask people to
donate and be a part of the funding of this great school."
ACADEMIC PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS
Innovative Instruction Fund $1,000,000
The college must be prepared to respond rapidly to community needs by providing the highest quality of both academic and workforce
development programs. We work in partnership with area business and industry to ensure a welltrained work force. New programs
arise which meet community needs, but traditional sources of funds are not provided for the development of new curricula, the hire of
new faculty, the marketing of programs, and/or the purchase of instructional equipment. To achieve our goals requires stateofthe art
technology and equipment for both the instructional and operational functions of the college. An innovative instruction fund of
$1,000,000 will support technology in the classroom to ensure that graduates are ready for the technical demands of today's job
market. The fund would also provide support for faculty professional development opportunities that are essential to maintain
excellence in the classroom.

JOHN KLEE, History Professor
Liberal Arts & Education
"We're on the bare bones here. We're just doing what we can do. It's the extra kinds of
monies, the grant monies, these kinds of monies that we're raising from business and
industry and individuals, that can make the difference, that can improve education and the
success of students. That's what's central, students being able to succeed"
STUDENT SUCCESS SCHOLARSHIPS
Student Success Endowment $1,000,000
To serve all segments of our communities, we must ensure that education is available regardless of financial resources. The cost of a college
education is increasing at a faster rate than the cost of living, making the cost of attending college a bigger hurdle than at any time in the past. The
college will expand its scholarship offerings to assist more students.

VICKI BLAKEMAN
Citizens Bank
"Education is so very important. It helps people achieve their dreams. MCTC gives
students so many options. The many programs offered by the college will benefit not only
the students but the community as a whole."
RAPID RESPONSE ENDOWMENT
Regional Community Service Endowment $1,000,000
We will build a permanently invested source of unrestricted support in order to respond to new challenges for which traditional funds are not
available. All great institutions of higher education rely on the flow of annual income from unrestricted endowments to meet everincreasing demands
for innovation, creativity, and rapid response to student, faculty, and community needs. Traditional sources of funding will continue to diminish, but
the opportunities for creating a better community will continue to arise. MCTC will answer the call with income from the Regional Community Service
Endowment Fund.

THOMAS R. CLARKE, Owner, Clarke Insurance Agency
MCTC Foundation, Inc.
"I think that MCTC is probably the most valuable asset that our community has. It's time to
step up and make certain that it stays here. We cannot take this school for granted. "
