Resources RAMP Team Recommendations Accepted:

Tenure for Faculty with Continuing or Continued Employment Status
The recommendation to provide the opportunity for tenure for faculty with continuing or continued status under the same conditions that are required for new tenure track faculty was accepted for implementation. Faculty with continuing or continued employment status electing to seek tenure would be required to move to "tenure track" status and relinquish the continuing or continued status and compete on the same basis with other faculty seeking tenure.

Online Course Tuition Rates
The recommendation to propose for Board approval in March the establishment of an e-tuition rate of 120 percent of the in-state tuition rate for out-of-state students enrolled in KCTCS online courses/programs effective fall 2005 was implemented. The rate will apply to both full and part-time students. In-state online students will continue to pay regular in-state tuition rates.

Program RAMP Team Recommendations Accepted:

Nursing Program Testing
The recommendation to discontinue the practice of using a comprehensive test as a course exit exam (LPN Program, final clinical course) was accepted for implementation.

Assessment Center Model
The recommendation to adopt the Assessment Center Workgroup's proposal as a model for future use was accepted for implementation. The model developed includes new and innovative ideas, historical best practices, and model infrastructure.

Education Technology Solutions ITV Workgroup Proposal
The recommendation to convert the current ITV structure to the h.323 standard as a solution to facilitate video conferencing was accepted. Methods of funding for the conversion, continuation of ITV services, and the installation of new ITV equipment and services at the colleges has been reviewed and finalized. Conversion to the new standard should be complete by July 1, 2005.
