2008 New Horizons Teaching & Learning Conference Conference

An annual conference held each May and open to all KCTCS colleges. The conference presenters are KCTCS' own faculty and staff demonstrating the finest examples of a learning organization.

Purpose/Goal of the program:

The Professional & Organizational Development Conference focuses on building the internal organization by promoting quality and excellence and strengthening personnel and the organization as a whole by showcasing the finest in teaching and learning.

When It's Held:

November: Call for proposals
January: Notification of acceptance to presenters
February: Registration open
April: Registration closed
May: Conference

Who Can/Should Apply/Participate:

All KCTCS faculty and staff
20 faculty and 14 staff funded to attend per college by grants
Additional faculty and staff may be funded by the college to attend

Criteria for Selection:

Selection for presenters by jury comprised of POD coordinators and KCTCS staff.
Selection for funded slots by college CEO

Cost to Individual/Institution:

Allotted college slots funded by grants
Additional slots funded by college
