KY Journal of Excellence

This journal is a collaborative partnership between KCTCS and the regional and research universities. The journal will target the professional development of college/university faculty within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Its primary goal is to enhance student learning by promoting excellence in teaching in higher education institutions in Kentucky.

Purpose/Goal of the program:

The goals of the journal are:
  • to adapt "best practices" to new teaching and learning contexts
  • to promote innovative research in the scholarship of teaching
  • to provide a forum for sharing successful teaching/learning strategies
  • to profile individuals who exhibit excellence in teaching
  • to stimulate ongoing professional development through teaching/learning resources

When It's Held:

October: submission of articles
November: articles published for fall issue
March: submission of articles
April: articles published for spring issue

Who Can/Should Apply/Participate:

All KCTCS faculty

Criteria for Selection:

Managing editor review manuscripts, forwards to review team, review team makes recommendation to editor, final selection left to the discretion of managing editor.

Participant Obligations:

Submission of manuscript in accordance to time frame established by the journal
